सप्तचिरंजीवी

जब किसी बालक का जन्म दिवस आता है,उसमे जन्म दिनपुजन का विशेष महत्त्व है।जिसमे मार्कण्डेय जी के साथ मे सप्तचिरंजीवी का पूजन किया जाता है जिससे बालक आरोग्यवान होकर दीर्घजीवी हो।और उन्नति को प्राप्त करे।

अश्वत्थामा बलिप्सो हनुमांश्च विभीषणः ।

 कृपः परशुरामश्च सप्तैते चिरंजीविनः ।। 

सप्तैतान् संस्मरेन्नित्यं मार्कण्डेयमथाष्टमम् । 

जीवेद्वर्षशतं सोपि सर्वव्याधिविवर्जित ।।

 ' अश्वत्थामा , बलि , व्यास , हनुमान , विभीषण , कृपाचार्य और भगवान परशुराम ये सात महामानव चिरंजीवी हैं ।  इन सात महामानवों और आठवे ऋषि मार्कण्डेय का नित्य स्मरण किया जाता है। तो शरीर के सारे रोग समाप्त हो जाते है और 100 वर्ष की आयु प्राप्त होती है । आइये जानते है इन सात महामानवों के बारे में जिनके बारे में माना जाता है की वो पृथ्वी पर आज भी जीवित है । योग में जिन अष्ट सिद्धियों की बात कही गई है वे सारी शक्तियाँ इनमें विद्यमान है । यह सब किसी न किसी वचन , नियम या शाप से बंधे हुए हैं और यह सभी दिव्य शक्तियों से संपन्न है । 

1. परशुराम 

भगवान विष्णु के छठे अवतार हैं परशुराम । परशुराम के पिता ऋषि जमदग्नि और माता रेणुका थीं । माता रेणुका ने पाँच पुत्रों को जन्म दिया , जिनके नाम क्रमशः वसुमान , वसुषेण , वसु , विश्वावसु तथा राम रखे गए । राम ने शिवजी को प्रसन्न करने के लिए कठोर तप किया था । शिवजी तपस्या से प्रसन्न हुए और राम को अपना फरसा ( एक हथियार ) दिया था । इसी वजह से राम परशुराम कहलाने लगे । इनका जन्म हिन्दी पंचांग के अनुसार वैशाख मास के शुक्ल पक्ष की तृतीया को हुआ था । इसलिए वैशाख मास के शुक्ल पक्ष में आने वाली तृतीया को अक्षय तृतीया कहा जाता है । भगवान पराशुराम राम के पूर्व हुए थे , लेकिन वे चिरंजीवी होने के कारण राम के काल में भी थे । परशुराम ने 21 बार पृथ्वी से समस्त क्षत्रिय राजाओं का अंत किया था ।

 2. बलि 

 राजा बलि के दान के चर्चे दूर - दूर तक थे । देवताओं पर चढ़ाई करने राजा बलि ने इंद्रलोक पर अधिकार कर लिया था । बलि सतयुग में भगवान वामन अवतार के समय हुए थे । राजा बलि के घमंड को चूर करने के लिए भगवान ने ब्राह्मण का भेष धारण कर राजा बलि से तीन पग धरती दान में माँगी थी । राजा बलि ने कहा कि जहाँ आपकी इच्छा हो तीन पैर रख दो । तब भगवान ने अपना विराट रूप धारण कर दो पगों में तीनों लोक नाप दिए और तीसरा पग बलि के सर पर रखकर उसे पाताल लोक भेज दिया । शास्त्रों के अनुसार राजा बलि भक्त प्रहलाद के वंशज हैं । राजा बलि से श्रीहरि अतिप्रसन्न थे । इसी वजह से श्री विष्णु राजा बलि के द्वारपाल भी बन गए थे ।

 3. हनुमान

अंजनी पुत्र हनुमान को भी अजर अमर रहने का वरदान मिला हुआ है । यह राम के काल में राम भगवान के परम भक्त रहे हैं । हजारों वर्षों बाद वे महाभारत काल में भी नजर आते हैं । महाभारत में प्रसंग हैं कि भीम उनकी पूँछ को मार्ग से हटाने के लिए कहते हैं तो हनुमानजी कहते हैं कि तुम ही हटा लो , लेकिन भीम अपनी पूरी ताकत लगाकर भी उनकी पूँछ नहीं हटा पाता है । सीता ने हनुमान को लंका की अशोक वाटिका में राम का संदेश सुनने के बाद आशीर्वाद दिया था कि वे अजर - अमर रहेंगे । 

4. विभिषण 

 राक्षस राज रावण के छोटे भाई हैं विभीषण । विभीषण श्रीराम के अनन्य भक्त हैं । जब रावण ने माता सीता हरण किया था , तब विभीषण ने रावण को श्रीराम से शत्रुता न करने के लिए बहुत समझाया था । इस बात पर रावण ने विभीषण को लंका से निकाल दिया था । विभीषण श्रीराम की सेवा में चले गए और रावण के अधर्म को मिटाने में धर्म का साथ दिया । 

5. ऋषि व्यास 

ऋषि व्यास जिन्हे की वेद व्यास के नाम भी जाना जाता है ने ही चारों वेद ( ऋग्वेद , अथर्ववेद , सामवेद और यजुर्वेद ) , सभी 18 पुराणों , महाभारत और श्रीमद्भागवत् गीता की रचना की थी । वेद व्यास , ऋषि पाराशर और सत्यवती के पुत्र थे । इनका जन्म यमुना नदी के एक द्वीप पर हुआ था और इनका रंग सांवला था । इसी कारण ये कृष्ण द्वैपायन कहलाए । इनकी माता ने बाद में शान्तनु से विवाह किया , जिनसे उनके दो पुत्र हुए , जिनमें बड़ा चित्रांगद युद्ध में मारा गया और छोटा विचित्रवीर्य संतानहीन मर गया । कृष्ण द्वैपायन ने धार्मिक तथा वैराग्य का जीवन पसंद किया , किन्तु माता के आग्रह पर इन्होंने विचित्रवीर्य की दोनों सन्तानहीन रानियों द्वारा नियोग के नियम से दो पुत्र उत्पन्न किए जो धृतराष्ट्र तथा पाण्डु कहलाए , इनमें तीसरे विदुर भी थे । 

6. अश्वत्थामा 

 अश्वथामा गुरु द्रोणाचार्य के पुत्र हैं । ग्रंथों में भगवान शंकर के अनेक अवतारों का वर्णन भी मिलता है । उनमें से एक अवतार ऐसा भी है , जो आज भी पृथ्वी पर अपनी मुक्ति के लिए भटक रहा है । ये अवतार हैं गुरु द्रोणाचार्य के पुत्र अश्वत्थामा का । द्वापरयुग में जब कौरव व पांडवों में युद्ध हुआ था , तब अश्वत्थामा ने कौरवों का साथ दिया था । धर्म ग्रंथों के अनुसार भगवान श्रीकृष्ण ने ही ब्रह्मास्त्र चलाने के कारण अश्वत्थामा को चिरकाल तक पृथ्वी पर भटकते रहने का श्राप दिया था । अश्वथाम के संबंध में प्रचलित मान्यता ... मध्य प्रदेश के बुरहानपुर शहर में एक किला है । इस किले में भगवान शिव का एक प्राचीन मंदिर है । अश्वत्थामा प्रतिदिन इस मंदिर में भगवान शिव की पूजा करने आता हैं । 

7. कृपाचार्य

 कृपाचार्य अश्वथामा के मामा और कौरवों के कुलगुरु थे । शिकार खेलते हुए शांतनु को दो शिशु प्राप्त हुए । उन दोनों का नाम कृपी और कृप रखकर शांतनु ने उनका लालन पालन किया । महाभारत युद्ध में कृपाचार्य कौरवों की ओर से सक्रिय थे । कृप और कृपि का जन्म महर्षि गौतम के पुत्र शरद्वान के वीर्य के सरकंडे पर गिरने के कारण हुआ था । 

ऋषि मार्कण्डेय 

 भगवान शिव के परम भक्त थे ऋषि मार्कण्डेय । इन्होंने शिवजी को तप कर प्रसन्न किया और महामृत्युंजय मंत्र को सिद्धि किया । महामृत्युंजय मंत्र का जाप मौत को दूर भगाने लिए किया जाता है । चुकि ऋषि मार्कण्डेय ने इस मन्त्र को सिद्ध किया था इसलिए इन सातो के साथ साथ ऋषि मार्कण्डेय के नित्य स्मरण के लिए भी कहा जाता है ।

Saptachinjeevi

When the birth day of a child comes, there is a special significance of the birth day in which Saptachhiranjeevi is worshiped along with Markandeya ji so that the child can become healthy and have a long life.  In jaggery

 Jeevadvarshatam sopi sarvavyadhi vivarjit.

 'Ashwatthama, Bali, Vyas, Hanuman, Vibhishana, Kripacharya and Lord Parashurama are the seven great human beings Chiranjeevi.  These seven great sages and the eighth sage Markandeya are regularly remembered.  So all the diseases of the body are eliminated and one attains the age of 100 years.  Let us know about these seven great men, who are believed to be alive on earth today.  All the powers which have been said in yoga are present in them.  All this is bound by some word, rule or curse and it is endowed with all divine powers.

 1. Parashuram

 Parashurama is the sixth avatar of Lord Vishnu.  Parashurama's father was Rishi Jamadagni and mother Renuka.  Mata Renuka gave birth to five sons, who were named Vasuman, Vasusena, Vasu, Vishvavasu and Rama respectively.  Rama meditated hard to please Shiva.  Shiva was pleased with penance and gave Rama his fursa (a weapon).  For this reason, Rama started being called Parashurama.  He was born on Tritiya of Shukla Paksha of Vaishakh month according to Hindi Panchang.  Therefore, the Tritiya which falls on the Shukla Paksha of Vaishakh month is called Akshaya Tritiya.  Lord Parashurama was preceded by Rama, but he was also in Rama's time due to being a Chiranjeevi.  Parashurama killed all the Kshatriya kings from the earth 21 times.

 2. Sacrifice

 The donations of King Bali were discussed far and wide.  King Bali had captured Indraloka to climb the gods.  The sacrifice took place during the incarnation of Lord Vamana in Satyuga.  In order to break the pride of Raja Bali, God took the disguise of Brahmin and asked for three feet of land from King Bali.  King Bali said, put three legs where you want.  Then God took his giant form and measured the three loks in two steps and put the third step on the head of the sacrifice and sent it to Hades.  According to the scriptures, King Bali is a descendant of the devotee Prahlada.  Srihari was very happy with King Bali.  For this reason, Shri Vishnu also became the gatekeeper of King Bali.

 3. Hanuman

 Anjani's son Hanuman also has the blessing of being immortal.  Ram has been an ardent devotee of God during the era of Rama.  Thousands of years later, they also appear in the Mahabharata period.  There is an incident in Mahabharata that when Bhima asks to remove his tail from the path, Hanumanji says that you remove it, but Bhima does not remove his tail even after putting all his strength.  Sita blessed Hanuman after hearing Rama's message in Ashoka Vatika in Lanka that he would remain ajar - immortal.

 4. Differentiation

 Vibhishan is the younger brother of the demon Raj Ravana.  Vibhishan is an exclusive devotee of Shri Ram.  When Ravana had killed Mother Sita, Vibhishana had told Ravana a lot not to enmity with Rama.  On this matter, Ravana expelled Vibhishana from Lanka.  Vibhishan went to the service of Shri Ram and supported religion in eradicating Ravana's iniquity.

 5. Sage Vyas

 The sage Vyasa, also known as Veda Vyasa, composed the four Vedas (Rigveda, Atharvaveda, Samaveda and Yajurveda), all 18 Puranas, Mahabharata and Srimad Bhagavat Gita.  Ved Vyas was the son of sages Parashar and Satyavati.  He was born on an island in the river Yamuna and had a dark complexion.  That is why they are called Krishna Dvaipayana.  His mother later married Shantanu, who had two sons, among whom the elder Chitrangad was killed in battle and the younger Vichitravirya died childless.  Krishna Dvaipayan preferred a life of religious and asceticism, but at the insistence of his mother, he produced two sons who were called Dhritarashtra and Pandu, among them the third Vidur, by the rule of Niyoga by the two childless queens of Vichitravirya.

 6. Ashwatthama

 Ashwathama is the son of Guru Dronacharya.  Many incarnations of Lord Shankar are also found in the texts.  One of them is an avatar who is still wandering on earth for his salvation.  These incarnations are of Ashwatthama, son of Guru Dronacharya.  When there was war between the Kauravas and the Pandavas in Dwaparyuga, Ashwatthama sided with the Kauravas.  According to religious texts, Lord Krishna had cursed Ashwatthama for wandering on the earth for a long time due to running Brahmastra.  Popular belief in relation to Ashwatham ... is a fort in Burhanpur city of Madhya Pradesh.  This fort has an ancient temple of Lord Shiva.  Ashwatthama comes to this temple daily to worship Lord Shiva.

 7. Kripacharya

 Kripacharya was the maternal uncle of Ashwathama and the Vice-Chancellor of the Kauravas.  While playing hunting, Shantanu received two infants.  Shantanu followed them both by naming them Kripi and Kripa.  In the Mahabharata war, Kripacharya was active on behalf of the Kauravas.  Kripa and Kripi were born due to the semen falling on the reeds of Shardwan, the son of Maharishi Gautama.

 Sage markandeya

 The sage Markandeya was an ardent devotee of Lord Shiva.  He pleased Shiva and meditated and accomplished the Mahamrityunjaya mantra.  Mahamrityunjaya mantra is chanted to ward off death.  Since Rishi Markandeya had perfected this mantra, therefore, along with these seven, it is also said for the daily remembrance of sage Markandeya.
